  To start with, the two gentlemen that were at our home were kind and courteous and this *incredibly* bad experience had nothing to do with them. Do NOT trust their quotes. We have a wall unit/armoire/headboard piece that we needed removed. It is in good shape and we were originally trying to donate it. We received a quote for $120, if they haul it away and $40 per 15mins labor to put it at the street. We called back 3 days later to schedule, now the quote is $135. We were frustrated but went with it since they already had the information and were able to come within a couple days. When they get here, they say the piece is larger than expected (we had provided specific measurements to begin with) and now it will be a *minimum* of $185. So we ask how much to just put to the street (our bulk garbage pick up will accept). They confirm $40 per 15 mins BUT only now are we told it is a minimum 2 hour labor fee. They can tell we are frustrated and that this is an absolute ridiculous price for this piece. (We cant move ourselves because of physical health disability, a healthy regular adult could definitely do this). They call the manager to ask for a 1 hour minimum exception...he agrees. Except, now there is a random "travel fee" of $99. We asked them to leave. This is utter nonsense. We went from expecting to pay either $120 for them to haul it or about $80 to put to the curb to over double. What a waste of time and complete frustration. Please please ask to speak to a local contact for a quote. Apparently even though we called the local number we were routed to a call center which (supposedly) is how we ended up with an inaccurate quote to begin with. Please know if you are reading this, I very rarely will post a negative review. I am not exaggerating or just posting in anger. This was the most frustrating experience I have had with a moving company ever. (I used to move every 1 to 2 years while renting, so ive dealt with a lot of moving companies). Perhaps they are better with full moves versus donation/junk removal, but I will not trust this company again.

  This was the 2nd time using this company and zero complaints. They are efficient and careful with all my household items. Hopefully i dont need to move again anytime soon but if I do. I will use them again. Amazing job and crew.

  I cannot say enough good things about Ian from College Hunks Moving. From the very first moment he arrived, he was incredibly professional, organized, and ready to get to work. He immediately put me at ease by explaining the plan for the move, organizing everything efficiently, and making sure every detail was handled carefully. Ian went above and beyond what I expected. He was extremely helpful, thoughtful, and respectful of my belongings. He took the time to wrap and protect fragile items, handled everything with care, and made sure nothing was rushed or overlooked. You can tell he genuinely takes pride in his work and wants the customer to have the best possible experience. What impressed me the most was how smoothly everything went because of him. The entire move was stress-free, efficient, and actually enjoyable — which I never thought I’d say about moving! Ian stayed positive, communicated clearly, and kept everything running perfectly from start to finish. Without a doubt, Ian is the best mover I have ever worked with. If you’re booking College Hunks, ask for Ian — you will not regret it. He is an absolute rockstar and truly deserves all the praise.
